Breaking.... POLICE ARREST MASQUERADE THAT DEFIED STAY AT HOME ORDER









The fate of some masquerades is yet to be determined as unconfirmed reports says that a masquerade that defied the lockdown ordered has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Anambra state, Nigeria.

The question that will have difficulty to resolve is whether the masquerade will be charged to court or be quarantined.
If it will be charged to court, the legal counsel may have to align with the cultural demands of the people and if it will be quarantined, how will it be unmasked?

The bottom line is that, no one is above the law. This new development speaks volumes of the determination of the government to ensure total lockdown to curtail the supersonic spread of the corona virus which has been declared a pandemic globally.
The records of about 400 cases in Nigeria is alarming particularly when we consider the transport system that allows the compacting of commuters in long buses.
It will be recalled that, the Anambra state government had ordered for the restriction of movement and the closure of markets in the state for 14 days. Also read:
